California Restaurant Month is an annual January tradition – call it a foodie’s favorite time of year – and El Dorado County celebrates it with plenty of culinary adventure down its bountiful backroads. The El Dorado Epicurean Collection of Culinary Adventures is a month-long celebration packed with dozens of delectable deals, exclusive seasonal offerings, wine-pairing specials with amazing and innovative chefs, and special discounts on food and wine

For 2017, El Dorado County is rolling out the epicurean carpet with numerous unique culinary experiences. If you love food and wine – and great values – read on!

Special One-Day Events

Solstice Cafe at Sierra-at-Tahoe
Madrona Wine & Dine at Sierra-at-Tahoe Like so many memorable couples (Sonny and Cher, Woody and Buzz, Simon and Garfunkel), Madrona Vineyards and Sierra’s Solstice Eatery are good on their own, but amazing when they come together. So it should be no surprise that they’re joining forces for California Restaurant Month. Enjoy Madrona’s award-winning wines paired with carefully prepared mini-bites from the one and only Solstice Eatery. It’s a one-of-a-kind way to cap off a day on the slopes, a week of work, or even the new year. Invite that special someone, grab your best friends (or even the whole fam) and come get fancy with Sierra and Madrona on a fine Friday afternoon! Tickets are $35 per person, $25 for season pass holders.

5 Fab Cabs BBQ Bash at Everhart Cellars / Hart 2 Hart Vineyards
This is a rare opportunity to taste five of Everhart Cellars / Hart 2 Hart Vineyards estate Cabernet Sauvignon Wines side by side and Barrel Taste Futures,along with a tasty BBQ buffet featuring slow smoked beef brisket, BBQ chicken breast, signature chopped slaw, mashed potatoes, gourmet gravy cornbread, and fresh yeast rolls Catered by Hog Wild BBQ. Tickets are $25/per person, and must be purchased in advance (available through January 25).

El Dorado Epicurean Adventure at Lucinda’s Country Inn
Lucinda’s Country Inn and Palissandro Vineyard & Winery present an El Dorado Epicurean Adventure. Enjoy a delicious five-course meal, including a beef tenderloin and rich chocolate cake, paired with Palissandro’s wines.  This unique, intimate event is limited to ten people. Tickets are $75 per person, and reservations must be made by January 26. To reserve, call 530-409-4169.

Snooty FrogThis month only, you can enjoy a four-course dinner that includes a chef choice appetizer, soup or salad, Prime USDA steak dinner with vegetables, and a chef choice dessert for only $55 per couple plus tax and gratuity. The Snooty Frog is known not only for its steak and seafood (it is home to the ‘Sizzling Filet’), but it’s also known for its martinis.

Holly’s Hill Vineyards Whether you head here before or after you’ve enjoyed dinner at Smith Flat House, it’s worth a trip to enjoy their unique Rhone varietal wines. Bonus: in January they’re offering no charge on select tastings, primarily limited edition wines produced in smaller quantities.
