Gold Rush Live at Marshall Gold Discovery State Park
It wasn’t just gold seekers that headed to California for the Gold Rush. Hot on the heels of the first rush of gold seekers were merchants, gamblers, and saloon keepers who helped establish the town of Coloma. Join docents and staff at Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park as they recreate the town of Coloma in 1850. Visitors will be able to experience a fully-functioning town that includes an Assay Office, Doctor, General Delivery, Carpentry Shop, Blacksmith, Tinsmith, Justice of the Peace, Laundry, Saloon, Mining Camp, Bakery, and General Store, along with live music, children’s games, and gold panning!
