Signature Festivals in El Dorado County

Passport to the Great Out There — Over 30 wineries in the El Dorado wine country host the annual Passport wine and food event each spring. Passport Weekend features luscious wine and food pairings, barrel tastings, enjoyable art and music, and fun-loving participants.

El Dorado Hills Art, Beer & Wine Festival  More than 100 artists and dozens of Gold Country wineries and breweries gather at the Town Center for tasting and live entertainment during Mother’s Day weekend.

Highway 50 Wagon Train Celebration — During the first weekend in June, Placerville celebrates its golden past by welcoming the Highway 50 Wagon Train. A parade through downtown with pony and wagon rides, music, a chili cook-off, craft fair, BBQ, dance and mechanical bull riding make it a celebration for the entire family.

Coloma Gold Rush Live— Every October, visitors will be taken back in time to learn about incredible journeys, discoveries, and disappointments. You’ll be able to register your claim at the Assay/Claims Office, procure supplies at the General Store, or find a place to bunk down and eat at the Boarding House. If you’ve just come in from the mines, head on over to the Barber/Bath House to clean up, then pick up a fresh shirt at the Laundry before heading over to the Saloon.

Fair Play Wineries Harvest Festival — Celebrate the harvest at more than 20 Fair Play wineries in November. Enjoy food, music, games, and most importantly, wine as you explore Fair Play’s beautiful wineries and award-winning, world-class wines.
