Several years ago our family opened the now acclaimed Heyday Café in old town Placerville. The success and community support of “Heyday” inspired us to embark on a new venture, The Independent Restaurant and Bar. Opened in the fall of 2011, The Independent Restaurant and Bar is a dining destination presenting an outstanding American fusion menu and a top-tier full bar staffed by our friendly crew.

Our family is committed to bringing the same high level of service and quality guests enjoy at Heyday Café to “The Independent.” In keeping with this philosophy, our talented cooks and bartenders use only the freshest and finest ingredients in creating exceptional experiences. We invite you to gather with family and friends in our modern rustic setting where you will find cozy dining and a very convivial bar. And in our temperate foothill climate, there will be plenty of opportunities for drinks and dining fireside under the stars, in the private garden patio at “The Independent.”
