The El Dorado County Farm Trails Association represents a variety of farms that grow cherries, berries, peaches, apples, pears, and oranges, as well as wine grapes, flowers, Christmas trees, and other agricultural products. Member wineries offer many award-winning wines having flavor characteristics unique to the Foothill appellations of El Dorado and Fair Play.
Summer brings many types of berries, peaches, plums, and a vast array of quality summer vegetables. Buy them directly from the ranches, or visit the Farmers Markets for a centralized shopping experience. The local Certified Farmers Markets (May-October) offers fresh, locally grown and produced vegetables, fruit, flowers, honey, and eggs to satisfied customers weekly in four locations in El Dorado County: Placerville, Cameron Park, South Lake Tahoe, and El Dorado Hills.
The Apple Hill Growers has grown from 16 original ranchers in 1964 to over 55 ranchers today sharing the fruits of their labor with thousands of visitors every year. A family trip to visit Apple Hill™ means so much more than just apples, pumpkins, pastries, and pies. It’s old-fashioned fun and memories that will last a lifetime! It’s berry farms, u-pick apple ranches, and kid-friendly activities. For the grown-ups, it’s fine wines and handcrafted beers in an incredible Sierra-soaked setting. It’s Christmas trees for as far as your group can wander.
