There are 10 Miner medallions hidden throughout Main Street Placerville from Sacramento Street to Clay Street. These Miners all had an impact on Placerville and El Dorado County during the Gold Rush period. Each miner has a QR code on the medallion that, when scanned with your phone camera, will take you to a webpage about the miners. So grab your phone and begin your hunt!

Banners on Parade

Banners on Parade is a community art project that promotes the arts on Historic Main Street in Placerville, California. It is a collaborative effort of artists, businesses, non-profit organizations, and city government. It is one of California’s longest-running community art projects, with 556 pieces of wonderful community art displayed over the last nineteen years.
