Welcome to Downtown Placerville
Shop till you drop or stroll the street, Historic Main Street features unique shops, antiques, fine art galleries, and restaurants. You’ll find small town charm with a backdrop of Gold Rush history.
2021 Banners on Parade
In 2021, we have a total of 32 banners displayed on Main Street during Placerville Art on Parade’s 17th year. If you’d like to walk around and see the banners, grab one of the “walking-tour” brochures at businesses on Main Street or online when they are available (mid-late June 2021), open the brochure’s front panel to see the banner “Sunflower Crow” in the upper-left corner. That banner is located at the corner of Main and Sacramento Streets. Walk east to see the next banner, “Fabulous Feathered Flicker”, right in front of the business, Hangtown Originals. Continue on to Cedar Ravine Street viewing the banners as you go—they correspond to what is in the brochure. Cross Main Street and walk west to Sacramento Street to view the banners on the north side of Main Street. When you get to Sacramento Street, walk “up” Sacramento Street to right across from the Post Office where you will see the final banner, “From a Bee’s Perspective”.
If you find a banner you really like, how about ordering a memento in the form of one of our Keepsakes? You can download the order form here (coming soon!). The order form will also available in the brochure.
