Celebrate the Holidays in Downtown Placerville with Events All Season Long
It was here that Thomas Kinkade got his inspiration for his “Hometown Memories”. Every shop and restaurant in this has something unique and different and the holidays are the perfect time to enjoy the small-town charm.
Downtown merchants wish you a joyous holiday season and appreciate every time you chose to shop locally. Enjoy two hours of free parking on your next visit!

Enjoy holiday cheer, live music, and more. Shops are open late, restaurants are ready to serve you and there will be entertainment on the street. Hangtown Christmas Parade
Sunday, December 5, 2021
The Hangtown Christmas Parade is a much-loved family tradition held every year on the first Sunday in December in Placerville. A local favorite for 40+ years, this big parade is full of small-town fun!
This year’s theme is a Candy Land Christmas and is presented by Tim and Sue Taylor.
