The El Dorado County Visitors’ Authority develops and implements county-wide cooperative and competitive tourism programs that position El Dorado County as a year-round travel destination. A destination that provides a quality visitor experience taking into consideration the interests and needs of current and potential visitors, tourism related businesses, Agri-tourism, history, recreation, county-wide tourism promotion agencies and local governments in order to work in harmony with the environment and the values of the community.

This report describes the direct economic impacts of travel to and through the state of California and each of its 58 counties and 12 tourism regions since 1992. Included is the level of travel spending and the impact this spending has on the economy in terms of earnings, employment and tax revenue. The report is updated annually in March-April.
